A Rainy Forecast & A Brilliant Plan: James & Quinn's Philadelphia Hotel Engagement Session

When we first tried to schedule James and Quinn’s engagement session, the weather had other plans, day after day of nonstop rain. But Quinn came through with the best idea: instead of braving soggy park grounds, why not take the shoot indoors for a fun, out-of-the-box hotel session?

Enter: The Logan Hotel in Philadelphia, right on Logan Square. And let me tell you—this shoot was an absolute blast. The three of us basically turned into kids again, laughing our way through the halls, riding elevators like it was an amusement park, and even playing with the luggage trolleys. It was pure, spontaneous joy. (Only a few confused stares from hotel guests… totally worth it!)

The whole vibe had this incredible documentary-style feel, and I was obsessed. I know some photographers stick to a certain style no matter what, but honestly? I thrive on creativity. I love switching things up and finding beauty in the unexpected—and this session was the perfect example of that.

Shooting and editing this was pure joy, and I can’t wait to capture even more magic at James and Quinn’s wedding next May!
